The 2025 Jeep® Compass brings a structured update to the compact SUV class by integrating standard 4x4 capability, a refined turbocharged powertrain, and a full set of advanced safety and connectivity features. Jeep® has revised key trim content for 2025 while maintaining the mechanical architecture and electronic systems that define the model’s current direction. With best-in-class standard output and a robust list of driver aids, the 2025 Jeep® Compass maintains its focus on functional capability and digital control in a compact format.

Turbocharged Four-Cylinder Power and 8-Speed Efficiency

At the center of the 2025 Jeep® Compass is a 2.0-liter direct injection turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine. This engine delivers 200 horsepower and 221 pound-feet of torque. These outputs are standard across all trims. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, calibrated for smooth torque transitions and efficient high-speed cruising. Stop-start technology is included to reduce idle consumption in dense traffic or extended stop intervals.

The drivability profile includes quick throttle response and consistent torque delivery at lower speeds, supporting typical daily driving and light-load trail conditions. The system prioritizes fuel economy and low emissions through controlled combustion timing and optimized shift scheduling.

Standard 4x4 Systems and Multi-Surface Drive Modes

Every 2025 Jeep® Compass includes a standard Jeep® Active Drive 4x4 system. This full-time system monitors road surface changes and activates all-wheel power distribution when necessary. Under optimal conditions, it disengages the rear axle to reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency.

The Trailhawk trim features Jeep® Active Drive Low, a system that includes a low-range gear set with a 20:1 crawl ratio. This setup supports controlled maneuvering on unstable or steep surfaces. All models include Selec-Terrain®, a programmable drive mode selector. The standard drive modes are Auto, Snow, and Sand/Mud. The Trailhawk trim adds a Rock mode.

Trailhawk models also include mechanical upgrades such as a one-inch factory lift, underbody skid protection, and a modified suspension geometry. The approach, breakover, and departure angles measure 30, 24, and 34 degrees, respectively. This trim supports water fording up to 19 inches and is rated for towing up to 2,000 pounds when properly equipped.

Exterior Lighting and Trim-Specific Styling

The 2025 Jeep® Compass carries forward the exterior design enhancements introduced in recent updates. The structure includes signature Jeep® design elements with measured styling changes across trims. LED reflector headlamps are standard. Projector LED headlamps and taillamps are available on Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk trims. LED fog lamps are available from the Latitude trim upward. Lighting components have been positioned for improved peripheral visibility and road-edge recognition at night or in poor weather.

The High Altitude edition, which is available on the Limited trim, adds a series of visual and structural upgrades. These include body-color front and rear lower fascias, painted side flares, 19-inch Granite Crystal aluminum wheels, and Neutral Grey accents. The dual-pane panoramic sunroof is included in this edition, along with a full premium LED lighting suite. Exterior paint color options include Bright White, Silver Zynith, Diamond Black, Hydro Blue, Red Hot, and a limited-availability Joose color arriving later in the model year.

Cabin Comfort with Functional Updates

Inside, the 2025 Jeep® Compass maintains a layout built around accessibility and visibility. For 2025, the Latitude trim adds standard heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and remote start. Interior color options include standard black on all models, with the Limited trim offering a black and sepia combination.

Cabin controls are positioned with lateral reach in mind, placing the touchscreen interface and climate adjustments within close proximity of the driver’s natural range of motion. Storage volume is divided between a front console, in-door compartments, and a rear seatback split that folds flat to extend the cargo floor. Seating capacity remains unchanged, and material upgrades are dependent on trim level selection.

Uconnect® 5 System and Digital Cluster Options

The 2025 Jeep® Compass includes Uconnect® 5 system across all trims. This infotainment platform is five times faster than the prior generation and supports firmware updates, wireless connectivity, and profile-based customization. Wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are standard. The Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk trims feature a 10.1-inch touchscreen display with high-definition resolution.

An optional 10.25-inch frameless thin-film transistor digital gauge cluster is also available. This unit is one of the largest in the segment and provides configurable layouts based on drive mode, vehicle status, and navigation input. Both screen systems operate in tandem, separating media and vehicle data while preserving screen clarity. Touch controls are supported by steering wheel-mounted functions and voice recognition software.

Safety and Driver Assistance Coverage

The 2025 Jeep® Compass includes more than 80 standard and available safety and security features. All trims include Drowsy Driver Detection, which monitors driver engagement and issues warnings based on deviation or extended inactivity. Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking is also standard, working in conjunction with the forward collision system. Active Lane Management adjusts steering inputs when unintentional drift is detected, and Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Path Detection are included on all models.

Advanced safety features available across select trims include a 360-degree surround view camera system, Traffic Sign Recognition, and a parking assist program that manages both parallel and perpendicular maneuvers. These systems operate through radar, camera, and ultrasonic input, offering guidance through visual and audible cues during low-speed movement.

A rear seat reminder alert is also standard. The vehicle security alarm is included on all models and functions through proximity detection and unauthorized entry monitoring.
Semi-autonomous driving assistance is available on select trims. When activated, this system supports vehicle centering, adaptive cruise control, and braking within marked highway lanes.

Trailhawk-Specific Configuration

The Trailhawk trim is configured with factory-calibrated hardware designed for off-road deployment. It includes Jeep® Active Drive Low with the 20:1 crawl ratio, Selec-Terrain® with Rock mode, and visual trail identifiers such as red tow hooks and Trail Rated badging. Mechanical upgrades include off-road suspension components, underbody protection, a lift kit, and specialized tires.

The Trailhawk trim also maintains access to the same infotainment and driver assistance features as the rest of the 2025 Jeep® Compass lineup.
